All guns are not necessarily created equal, but fortunately, the basic shooting fundamentals transcend the manufacturers makes and models. Traditionally speaking, shooting a handgun is a rigid, formalized set of requirements delivered in a way to help the shooter to place perfectly accurate shots. A customer complaining about a particular gun not being a "straight shooter" is something we hear often. The painful truth of the matter is regardless of the gun, if its a modern, well maintained firearm, the firearm can always "out shoot" the handler. So, if you are experiencing shooting difficulty, look to the fundamentals. Beyond traditional handgunning we take a look at "pre-traditional" shooting. That is, firing a handgun without using the sights. Depending on the situation, you may not have the time or ability to find the right stance, align the sights and press the trigger smoothly to the rear. During these conditions, it's important to know how to accurately fire your handgun using a "point shooting" or "non-sighted firing index" method. Basic Handgun I and BH2 will cover both sighted fire and non-sighted fire techniques. Topics Covered:
